Front Porch Series with High Step Society

We are SUPER excited to welcome back High Step Society and celebrate all you moms out there who deserve a dance party!

Linger Longer and BOOK A DWELLING HERE

High Step Society is a dance party from another dimension; a high-flying, beat-dropping, big band rocket ship with an ear to the past, and both feet on the gas. This dynamic band is bringing jazz back to the party, where it belongs.

The 7-piece band’s mission is to bring people together, to create a celebratory space that transcends the troubles of this world. Capturing the spirit of the Jazz Age and launching a century forward, this band breaks down the divisions between us and replaces them with the irresistible urge to dance together.

High stepping is a state of mind, and a movement to be part of. Dress yourself up nice, act classy, and lift your best foot way up to the sky. Hop on the HSS Express and let’s ride this wave together towards better times.

Gong Sound Sessions at Camp V -- VIBRATE WITH THE COSMOS

5:30-7pm, THURSDAYS this Fall in new VTrove Pavillion

$25 Suggested donation {includes hot tea}

Please bring: mat, blankets, cushion, layers and a mug

We'll start by tuning in together as we welcome you into the sacred space. Then we'll warm up with breathing exercises and light somatic movements to align the body and mind and prepare for meditation. The majority of the time will be spent relaxing and listening to the deep resonant vibrations of the gong.  The sound of the gong travels through your energetic body, moving prana (chi) throughout the body and also moving thoughts through the mind. The sound harmonics create a state of resonance in the body that activates the parasympathetic nervous system so the body can rest and digest for optimal well being.

Maia Gaia is a Kundalini yoga teacher, reiki and gong sound therapy practitioner. She moved to the San Juans in 2014 and teaches yoga at her home studio in Norwood and at The Livery. Maia leads meditation circles and women's gatherings for new moon and full moon activations, and she facilitates conscious community gatherings and private events with the Conscious Yoga Collective.

Please bring: mat, blankets, cushion, layers and a mug

We'll start by tuning in together as we welcome you into the sacred space. Then we'll warm up with breathing exercises and light somatic movements to align the body and mind and prepare for meditation. Dani-Rae Clark is a Nashville based queer folk artist from Vancouver, Canada.  A collector of old things and stray dogs, they can usually be found miraculously starting their old truck to get to their next show, town or creek bed. Their music has been described as somber yet steady, bitter yet loving and blatantly queer.
